Pinnacle Award
Englewood Hospital and Medical Center ‘s Nursing Research Committee Practice was named the 2002 recipient of the Research Dissemination – Nursing Award by Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing. This Award recognizes an individual or group for making a major contribution to the dissemination of research to nurses for use in clinical nursing practice, education, administration and/or research.
 
Englewood Historical Society Award
The Englewood Historical Society acknowledged the medical center for its services to the community, and for its maintenance of the Nursing Archival Center with the 2005 Englewood Historical Society Award. The Nursing Archival Center is located in medical center’s library and it is open to the public. The medical center has been involved in nursing education since 1896 and has preserved a wealth of nursing memorabilia.
 
Nurses Improving Care for Health System Elders (NICHE)
NICHE is a national geriatric nursing program of the John A. Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing at New York University. The goal of NICHE is to achieve systemic nursing change that will benefit hospitalized older patients. Hospitals have reported the following results after implementing NICHE: increased patient satisfaction, improved nursing knowledge, decreased length of stay, reductions in costs, and reductions in readmission rates.
