Englewood Hospital Has More Physicians in NEW YORK Magazine “Best Doctors” Issue Than Any Other New Jersey Hospital

Twenty-eight physicians from Englewood Hospital and Medical Center are  among the leading physicians in New York magazine's 12th annual “Best Doctors” issue (June 15-22).  The magazine presents a round-up of 1,107 New York metro area doctors in more than 60 medical specialties. More physicians from Englewood Hospital were listed than physicians from any other hospital in New Jersey.

“I am proud to boast that our patients are treated by the very best physicians in the region,” said Douglas A. Duchak, President and CEO of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. “Englewood Hospital continues to be a leader in exceptional healthcare thanks to the dedication and exceptional skills of the many outstanding physicians on our staff.”

“The expertise and skill of our outstanding physicians are the foundations of our ability to provide the highest quality care to patients,” notes Aryeh Shander, MD, president of Englewood Hospital’s Medical Staff. “Again and again, they are listed among the region’s top doctors, and deservedly so.”

The physicians listed in New York’s“Best Doctors” issuerepresent only a small portion of the 10% of the region’s physicians – more than 6,000 in all – who were included in the latest edition of Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.’s Top Doctors: New York Metro Area™ guidebook. The New York-based research and information company publishes the annual guidebook to help patients find doctors in their communities.

The most recent and 12th edition of Top Doctors: New York Metro Area™ listed almost 90 Englewood Hospital physicians. The distinction marks the 10th consecutive year that Englewood Hospital has had more “top doctors” than any other hospital in northern New Jersey.

To select the doctors for its guidebook, Castle Connolly distributes 12,000 nomination forms to medical professionals in the tri-state area. Recipients are asked to nominate those physicians who excel in their field and related fields and exhibit excellence in patient care, and to whom they would send members of their own family.
