Partners in the Prevention of Breast Cancer
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and
Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Team Up to Promote Routine Mammograms

(May 2011) Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) in Bergen County, New Jersey, are collaborating to promote breast cancer prevention and awareness to patients in their communities.

Women who are Horizon BCBSNJ members and reside in Bergen County and the surrounding area will be contacted by staff from the nationally renowned Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at EHMC and encouraged to have a routine mammogram to support early detection and early treatment as part of their overall health. Women can schedule a mammography appointment at the time of the call.

The Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center provides quality care in a facility committed to patient privacy and confidentiality. To make an appointment by phone, call us at 1-201-894-3202 or make an appointment online.

Mammograms are important to the overall prevention programs that both Horizon BCBSNJ and EHMC support. Regular mammograms are critical to early detection and can lead to improved treatment.

Regular mammograms should begin at age 40 years, unless otherwise advised by a physician due to a medical history.

Early detection can make all the difference.
