Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Announces New Executive Staff Members

ENGLEWOOD, NJ, March 10, 2011 – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) announces the appointment of two executive leadership members:

Debra Albanese has been named the new Vice President of Development and Executive VP of the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Foundation. As VP of Development, Ms. Albanese will be responsible for the overall management of Foundation operations to provide philanthropic support to the Medical Center.  She was previously at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ, where she served as VP for Strategic Advancement, responsible for all fundraising since 1996. Prior to that, Ms. Albanese was Director of Development at Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges in West Orange, NJ, and also served in Development roles at Bloomfield College, J.C. Geever, Inc. Development Consultants, Henry H. Kessler Foundation, National Society to Prevent Blindness and Consumer Credit Counseling Service. Ms. Albanese received her MPA from New York University and her BA from Rutgers University's Douglass College.

Ann Marie Shears, MA, RN, has been named to the position of Vice President, Clinical Services.  In this role, she will be responsible for Inpatient Services, the Emergency Department, and the Pharmacy.  Ms. Shears was previously at Warren Hospital where she was VP, Patient Care Services. Prior to that, she held executive-level positions at Saint Michael's Medical Center, PBI Regional Medical Center and St. Joseph's Medical Center. Ms. Shears holds a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from New York University. Her clinical background is in critical care and medical surgical nursing.
