Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Announces Leadership Promotions

May 2, 2012, Englewood, N.J. – The Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Board of Directors announced today promotions for members of the executive team in accordance with the Medical Center’s leadership succession plan.

Effective January 1, 2014, the current Chief Executive Officer Douglas A. Duchak will transition to a new role to lead the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Foundation and other significant external activities.  At the same time, current Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Warren Geller will become President and Chief Executive Officer of Englewood Healthcare System and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.

Nadel, Chairman of the Board of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. “In order to ensure that we are well positioned for future success, it’s important that we execute our leadership succession plan in a strategic, effective manner. We are fortunate to have such distinguished, high-performing executives at the helm and we are excited about the future.”

Duchak has been President and CEO of Englewood Healthcare System and of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center since 2004.  Previously, he served as the Medical Center’s Chief Financial Officer from 1991-2004.

Geller joined Englewood Hospital as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2008. He was previously a Senior Vice President at Northern Westchester Hospital.  In his current role at Englewood Hospital, Geller is responsible for day-to-day operations and many of Englewood Hospital’s recent strategic initiatives.
