Englewood Hospital Physician Recognized for Excellence in Humanistic Medicine

Arnold P. Gold Foundation Honors Dr. John Stable with Gold DOC Award

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation recently honored another Englewood Hospital and Medical Center physician with the prestigious Gold DOC Award. The Foundation established this program to give patients an opportunity to pay tribute to physicians who demonstrate exemplary skill, sensitivity, service and compassion.

The Foundation has recognized Dr. John Stabile for his excellence in humanism in medicine, a key element at Englewood Hospital, where all staff members strive to create a culture of quality, compassionate patient care.

Dr. Stabile is board certified in ophthalmology. His specialty expertise includes cataract and refractive surgery, with a sub-specialty in oculoplastic surgery. Dr. Stabile currently serves on Englewood Hospital’s Foundation board and is the New Jersey State Counselor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been ranked among America’s “Top Doctors” by Castle Connolly, for the thirteenth consecutive year. Dr. Stabile has also held past positions as President of the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology and Chief of Ophthalmology at Englewood Hospital.
