Englewood Hospital Hosts Annual Student Visit

Dwight Morrow High School Class Participates in Job Shadowing Program

Englewood Hospital and Medical Center is committed to helping students prepare for life after high school through its job shadowing program. The “Allied Health Small Learning Community” class at Dwight Morrow High School visits the Medical Center annually to participate in this program. Students learned of the many career opportunities open to them, whether or not they are college bound. “A hospital is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year, and each employee plays a critical role in maintaining the high standard of care and service we provide for our patients, their families, and our staff,” said Lori Villa, Special Events Planner at Englewood Hospital. The students met and worked with trained professionals associated with the Medical Center’s numerous departments, including Information Technology, Food and Nutrition, Environmental Services, Transport, Bio-Med, Pharmacy, and Laboratory.
