Englewood Hospital Wins All Four Jewish Standard Readers’ Choice Hospital Awards

#1 Inpatient Experience, Breast Care Center, Birthing Center and Emergency Room

(Englewood, NJ, July 27, 2012) – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center today received the 2012 Jewish Standard Readers’ Choice Award for best hospital.

The Jewish Standard is a weekly newspaper serving northern New Jersey. Nearly 2,000 readers in Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties cast their votes between April and May, selecting Englewood Hospital as the best hospital in all four categories. The Medical Center won first place for its Inpatient Experience, Breast Care Center, Birthing Center and Emergency Room.

“We are thrilled to be held in such high esteem by the community we serve,” said Douglas Duchak, President and CEO of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. “The physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers at Englewood Hospital strive daily to provide patients with the highest quality health care and patient experience, and this recognition by the readers and members of our communities affirms our dedication and efforts.”

The Jewish Standard’s Readers’ Choice Awards is now in its third year and aims to supply readers and their families with the best possible choices when selecting a health care provider, shopping, planning an event or dining out, among other things. All winners appear in a special supplement to the July 27 issue of the Jewish Standard, in the “Readers’ Choice” magazine.

“We thank the Jewish Standard readers for their continued trust and loyalty and look forward to serving our patients and community in the years to come,” added Mr. Duchak.
