About Englewood Hospital and Medical Center

2012 Press Releases

As a result of the ongoing FDA investigation of New England Compounding Center (NECC), we want to assure patients that Englewood Hospital and Medical Center has NOT purchased triamcinolone acetonide, cardioplegic solution, or methylprednisolone acetate (associated with the cases of meningitis) from NECC.

As a precaution to ensure the safety of our patients, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center has removed all drugs in our inventory produced by NECC and is participating in any recalls of NECC drugs.

The FDA continues to evaluate these reports, and when the agency obtains additional information, it will be promptly relayed to the public.

A multidisciplinary team of experts at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center continues to closely track information from the FDA, CDC and New Jersey Department of Health, and we will keep you informed as additional information and recommendations become available.

At Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, the safety and wellness of patients is our first priority.

To learn more about the investigation of products from NECC you may also call the FDA’s Division of Drug Information at 855-543-DRUG (3784). Additional information is available at www.cdc.gov/hai/outbreaks/meningitis.html and www.fda.gov/drugs.

If you have specific questions related to your wellness or any medications, please contact your physician directly.
