Get a Leg Up on Vein Health

Free Vein Screenings at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center

(Englewood, NJ, May 6, 2013) – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center will offer free vein screenings on May 15, 20 and 29 to men and women with visible, abnormal leg veins such as bulging varicose veins or spider veins. Those who experience leg pain or have a history of blood clots are also encouraged to attend.

Patients should know the early warning signs for vein disease to help prevent potential complications. Symptoms include aching, throbbing or swelling in the legs, ankles or feet.

The Center for Vein Disease at Englewood Hospital is equipped with the latest in minimally-invasive technology, which has been used to treat patients with problem veins on an outpatient basis. Englewood Hospital’s team of vein specialists treat all aspects of vein care, including spider veins, varicose veins, perforator and deep venous incompetence, venous ulcers and the prevention and treatment of DVT (deep vein thrombosis).

The free vein screening includes a physical examination, a thorough review of medical history, and if further evaluation is needed, a follow-up appointment for non-invasive testing can be scheduled.
