(Englewood, NJ, June 20, 2013) – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center recently offered a free, confidential skin cancer screening to men and women in Bergen County in conjunction with the American Academy of Dermatology Skin Cancer Awareness Month. Nearly a dozen board-certified dermatologists with Englewood Hospital volunteered their time and clinical expertise to the nearly 100 community members who visited the hospital for its annual exam.

“While skin cancer is the most common form of the disease in the United States, it is also curable when caught early,” explained Gary Brauner, MD, Chief of Dermatology at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. “We encourage people of all ages to be proactive in their skin care and to be especially mindful of any spots, moles or freckles that may appear to be suspicious.”
