Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Offers Free Weight Loss Surgery Seminars

(Englewood, NJ, January 23, 2013) – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center is offering free educational seminars on weight loss surgery, from January 23 through December 16 of this year. The seminars are open to anyone who would like to learn more about a surgical option for weight loss.

Seminar topics will include a review of the preparation for surgical weight loss, the risks and benefits of each type of surgery, and what to expect after surgery. General information about insurance coverage will also be presented. The goal is to educate attendees on all aspects of bariatric surgery so that each person is better informed to decide whether bariatric surgery is an appropriate weight loss option.

Participants are welcome to bring one guest. Registration is encouraged. Parental consent and parental attendance is required for attendees who are under 18 years of age. Patients must attend the seminar prior to scheduling an initial consult with an Englewood Hospital surgeon.
