Englewood Hospital Physician Recognized for Excellence in Humanistic Medicine

(Englewood, NJ, October 3, 2013) – Dr. Barbara Schreibman, Associate Chief of the Emergency Department and Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC), has been awarded the prestigious Gold DOC Award by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation.  The Foundation has recognized Dr. Schreibman for her excellence in humanism in medicine.

The Gold DOC Award program was established to give patients an opportunity to pay tribute to physicians who demonstrate exemplary skill, sensitivity, service and compassion.

“Dr. Schreibman is an extremely deserving recipient of the Gold DOC Award,” said Warren Geller, President and CEO of EHMC. “Our entire healthcare team prides itself on providing high-quality, compassionate, humanistic care and this recognition is a testament to that dedication.”

Dr. Schreibman is also a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), ACEP’s American Association of Women Emergency Physicians Section, ACEP’s Emergency Medical Services Prehospital Care Section, the National Association of EMS Physicians and MICU Advisory Council to the New Jersey Department of Health.
