Heart and Soul Music Fest Celebrates American Heart Month and Black History Month

-Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Hosts Free Event-

(Englewood, NJ, January 21, 2014) – Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (EHMC) will host a “Heart and Soul Music Fest” on February 21, 2014, from 5:30pm-9:00pm, in celebration of Black History Month and American Heart Month. The free event will be held at EHMC’s Ferolie Gallery and is designed to empower the African-American community to play a more proactive role in their heart health.

Attendees are invited to enjoy an evening of education and entertainment as EHMC celebrates the African-American heritage through music, the arts and healing. The event will kick off with a buffet dinner, one-on-one conversations with physicians and a tour through EHMC’s “virtual heart unit.” Afterwards, participants will celebrate Black History Month with Gospel, R&B, Jazz and Hip-Hop performances, followed by a Community Leadership Awards ceremony.

Featured guests and performers include WLIB/WBLS radio personality Liz Black, Soul Tempo, Martin Christie, Kerstin and David Thomas.
