Held annually in May, this screening could be life saving. One million new cases of skin cancer occur each year in the United States. 38,000 of them will be life-threatening melanomas and over 7,000 people will die from melanoma. It is critical that people of all ages protect themselves from the sun, avoid tanning form the sun and tanning parlors, do routine skin exams at home and be screened by trained dermatologists for new or potentially dangerous growths. Registration is necessary. Registration will be accepted approximately one month prior to the Screening Date. 201-894-3124.
