Berkeley 4myheart Center: 201-567-9063
Patients of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center now have a unique place to go to get heart-healthy. The new 4myheart Center in Englewood is the result of a partnership between Englewood Hospital, Berkeley HeartLab, Inc, a cardiovascular disease (CVD) management company, and the Kaplen Jewish Community Center (JCC) on the Palisades.
The Englewood 4myheart Centeris the first of its kind in the Northeast, and the first nationwide, to open in partnership with a hospital.
The 4myheart Center located near Englewood Hospital at 15 Engle Street offers educational and fitness tools and one-on-one support for cardiac patients so they can attain health goals outlined in their personalized, physician-directed fitness plan. Patients participate in exercise programs that include group classes and the use of equipment and healthy cooking classes. On-site nutrition and fitness experts and a Clinical Educator and Exercise Physiologist provide customized information and guidance to each participant. Patients also may track their progress, as well as read heart smart tips and interact with a Clinical Educator at www.4myheart.com.
The 4myheart Center is for patients who have undergone a detailed Berkeley HeartLab test, an advanced blood screening that measures 20 often-missed cardiovascular disease risk factors.
Results of the comprehensive blood test are sent to a patient’s cardiologist and used in conjunction with medical history and lifestyle to develop a personalized, interventional plan to help treat and manage risk factors for heart disease before advanced problems such as heart attack or stroke occur. The 4myheart program focuses on the key components of exercise, nutrition, stress reduction counseling and medical compliance.
