About Hospitalists
Hospitalists are doctors who devote their practice to the care of hospitalized patients. The hospitalist team at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center hold faculty appointments at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and are board certified in internal medicine.
They see hospitalized patients who have been referred from primary care doctors, emergency room doctors, or other physicians at the hospital. They do not see patients outside the hospital.
Members of Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s Department of Medicine faculty, who are physicians, also help to provide additional coverage on weekends and holidays for the hospitalist program.
